Accessibility Statement

We want everyone on Nahalat Binyamin to be able to use NahaLove, including people with disabilities. This statement follows the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and our target is Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA.

What we've done

In the app

• Buttons as well as gestures. Swiping has Like and Nope buttons, so you don't have to swipe.
• VoiceOver. Icon-only buttons (close, back, like, report, show password and others) have spoken labels.
• Larger text. Text follows the text size you choose in your iPhone's Settings.
• Contrast. Our colors (dark wine on ivory, ivory on dark wine) were chosen for strong contrast.
• No time pressure. Nothing in the app requires you to act within a time limit, except that "I'm here" switches itself off after 2 hours (and you can switch it on again).
• Alternatives to location. If you'd rather not share location continuously, the "I'm here" button does a one-time check.

On this website

• Plain structure with headings, a "Skip to content" link, and visible keyboard focus.
• Works with screen readers, keyboard only, zoom up to 200%, and light or dark mode.
• No images carry information that isn't also written as text.

What's not accessible yet

• Photos that users upload have no text descriptions, because they're chosen by users.
• Some screens may not fit well at the very largest accessibility text sizes.
• We haven't yet had an external accessibility audit. We plan one before the public launch.
